Happy New Year 2007!!!

Happy New Year!! It is hard to believe 2007 is here already. I hope all of you had a great holiday season filled with family & friends, fun, and peace. We had a great Christmas running between all of our family's houses as usual. :) Got together with my aunt and uncle for Christmas Eve lunch, then my dad/stepmom that night, then went to my mom's house on Christmas morning, then my in-law's that afternoon. Plus spent time hanging out with other aunts and uncles and cousins in the following days. I did come down with a bad cold right before Christmas, and was not feeling very good at all on the 23rd and 24th, so that was not cool. But other than that, everything was great! My Navy sister Barbara just came back from the Persian Gulf and she was home for 5 days, so everything was a whirlwind while she was here! We also had a lot of good times with friends before and after Christmas, including one major party at our house before Christmas, plus a couple other gatherings between Christmas and New Year's. We also saw Spam-a-Lot in Detroit on New Year's Eve. It was a very fun and wacky show! But now it is January 2nd and back to work!! I love having all the time off between Christmas and New Year's (a wonderful benefit of working at the University of Michigan!!) So now I'm back and work but not totally focusing on work yet (obviously). :)

In 2007 I intend to get back in gear and allocate more time for jewelry and bead-making!! I did 3 holiday craft shows and they went pretty well. I'm sending in applications for 4 spring shows, so stay tuned!! I also resolve to list more regularly on Ebay, keep practicing new & exciting bead-making styles, design a line of wedding/special occasion jewelry, and update my website more often. So if I don't stick to this, someone please call me out on it!!! I really love doing all of this, but I have a tendancy to spread myself too thin, and then I start slacking here and there. But right now I have sooooo many ideas in my head, and I can't wait for 2007 to be the most creative and productive year ever!! :)

I made some fun heart beads on New Year's Day, so I will get those posted on Ebay this week. They are not super Valentinesy, but they are very fun and versatile hearts that you can wear year-round! And I have also been playing around with animal beads so stay tuned for some fun there as well!!! :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! :)

I'll make sure you keep up with your resolutions, as long as you help me with mine. The main one is losing some weight before the reunion.
